In May’s tea tasting, I mentioned the Shan Lin Xi Yeh family's devotion & innovation with tea. It results in some unusual teas that excite the Teance community, encouraging them to taste the teas and learn about the stories behind them.
The Yeh family uses the Qing Xin oolong varietal to process as a white tea, and earlier this year they sent us a bag to taste. We tasted the tea with some Teance customers who gave it good feedback. When I visited Taiwan in April, I hand-carried a small batch back, each bag with Mrs. Yeh's beautiful handwriting. These special bags are called Zhuǎn yùn 轉韻 bag and help the tea transfer the taste profile through aging.
Our question is: how can we share these Taiwan teas with our Teance community to have a unique comparison? We would like to compare white teas that are different in varietal, region, season, aging…etc.
