Silver Needle King's Grade stands out from the standard Silver Needle offering in that it yields a more delicate, sweeter infusion. Its tender buds are fuzzier and are greener in color. Relatively low in caffeine, it is a delicate treat at any time of day. Don't be fooled by its gentle profile - the buds of white tea deliver a strong dose of antioxidants unlike any other. A meticulous, labor intensive tea to produce, Silver Needle requires more than 30,000 buds just to make a single pound.
Our white tea is from Fuding福鼎 Fujian, China, an excellent environment for growing white tea.
The founder, Mr. Lin Chui Jiao, began to plant and trade white tea in1957. The son, Mr. Lin Xing Biao, is our tea farmer and he inherited the family's traditional white tea planting and processing techniques. This tea farm and factory adheres to sound ecological practices and techniques that produce the highest quality teas.
Lin Xing Biao is highly regarded as a pioneer in the area not just as a farmer, but because he helped many people create a better economic condition through the growing and processing of tea and he owns one of the earliest tea factories producing white tea in China as a non-government factory. The tea factory covers an area of about 16,000 square meters and he has more than 300 employees.

Tasting Notes (5/27/2021): The aroma is invigorating. The liquor is a pale orange. Dry alfalfa and muted tones of Turkish apricots are followed by a lingering, deep sweetness left in the back of the palate. Supremely refreshing.
