12:00-12:20pm Opening celebration - Lion Dance performance for the blessing by Kei Lun Martial Arts, founded in 1994. Kei Lun Martial Arts is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the cultural legacies of the lion dance, dragon dance, and martial arts.
12:30-1:30pm Tai Chi Demonstration - Tai Chi free introductory classes by White Magnolia.
1:30-2:00 Be Cultured with Fermented Foods - Karen Wang Diggs: Chef, Nutritionist, Fermentation Expert, and Author will share complimentary tastings of her wild fermented Pao Chai泡菜 (Chinese fermented vegetables) and Water Kefir infused with Chinese medicinal herbs. Karen will stay till 4:00 to answer your fermentation questions, as well as stories from "The Book of Awesome Asian Women".
2:00-3:00pm Chinese instrument Pipa performance: Immerse yourself in the captivating Pipa artistry of Xiao Zhang as she shares the profound beauty of this ancient instrument. It is our honor to have Xiao join us for the celebration.

**DIY-Writing Chinese Calligraphy - Spring Couplets 春聯 "Chūnlián", a New Year's decoration that expresses happiness and hopeful thoughts for the coming year.
**Face / Body Painting by local art teacher Sandra Chang.
**Teance’s complimentary Lunar New Year Red teas (Hong Cha) will be served after the Lion Dance performance.

**Nekosama: a Taiwanese/woman owned local home bakery based in Castro Valley. They Specialize in whimsical baked goods handcrafted in small batches using natural and local ingredients. Many of the treats are Asian flavors inspired and not-too-sweet!
They will bring a limited amount of the Special Edition Lunar New Year Cookie Box along with their other yummy baked goods & pastries, and pre-orders are available online before the event as well!
**Maicha Tea Time Co: Local handmade tea time treats intended for pairing with Teance teas. The goal in mind for Maicha is to provide a pleasant, unique tea time experience for you and your loved ones to share as you spend quality time together.

**Alexandra Kahn Ceramics: I am a potter and a biologist, and in my ceramics I integrate my twin loves of art and the natural world. At the Lunar New Year Celebration at Teance, I will be featuring wheel thrown mugs that I have illustrated, painted, and carved with depictions of snakes. Each mug is a unique piece of art that can bring a bit of joy to your new year. I will also be selling ceramic jewelry, largely inspired by plants, which are all finished with sterling silver findings. IG: @auntieplantie
**Shine On Studio: A creative space led by Bay Area illustrator/designer Kate Chuang, Shine On Studio creates art to inspire and spread a little extra shine. Blending playful illustrations, hand-drawn lettering, and cheerful messages, Kate’s goal is to connect people through happy vibes!
For the Lunar New Year pop-up, Shine On Studio will curate a collection of prints, including greeting cards, postcards, wall art, and stickers. Follow along for more: @k8c_draws
**Purple Fire Gems: Local jewelry-maker Leslie Yee-Murata makes Asian-inspired earrings, pendants, and bracelets with semi-precious stones such as jade, carnelian, agate, and more.
**Roots and Rituals Halmoni San Korean Tea: We promote wellness through single origin, hand picked teas, from South Korea. Halmoni San means grandmother mountain and is an ode to the predominantly 60-70 year old women who hand pick tea in the mountains of Boeseong South Korea where this tea is grown.
