Lye Water Rice Dumpling (Jian Zong 鹼粽) Wrapping Workshop
Come learn how to wrap food into a pyramid shape with bamboo leaves!

Jian Zong鹼粽 (or Jian Shui Zong), Lye Water Rice Dumpling.
Instead of the more typical savory zong with meat and peanut fillings, Jian Zong is made with alkalized glutinous rice, which makes the rice translucent, bouncy, and chewy, and is typically eaten with sugar or syrup. It is a traditional food eaten for Dragon Boat Festival (5/31 on Gregorian calendar this year) in the Chinese culture!
Each participant will learn how to wrap and take home 3 Zong to cook at your convenience.
To provide better 1 on 1 instruction, the workshop will be capped at 10 people.

Lin Family Snacks will be selling homemade Taiwanese style zong zi粽子, which is glutinous rice with fillings that are wrapped in bamboo leaves, and steamed.
