A few years ago, we started sourcing Hojicha powder per request of a local bakery to use in their cookies. Impressed at the quality of the Hojicha powder, they suggested that we extend the sales of our Hojicha powder to the public instead of just wholesale customers. Here we are!

Hojicha is a staple in Japanese whole-leaf green tea known for its toasty, sweet, and warming quality. In its ground powder form, Hojicha retains its toastiness and nuttiness for a delicious addition in beverages and baking. Some of our customers say they enjoy using Hojicha powder to bake Hojicha-flavored mochi cake, while others love making Hojicha lattes with oat milk and maple syrup.
