Ring Tong tea estate was established in 1865 and is situated at an altitude of 1100-1700 meters above sea level. Ring Tong means "ring the bell." This tea garden produces one of the best varieties of all types of Darjeeling tea.

The delicate leaves of this first flush tea exhale a floral air and have a smooth body of distinct fresh orange flavor. The majority of these tea bushes belong to the China cultivar. Curly medium-sized leaves have a grassy green sheen with scores of buds releasing rich floral notes. The infusion has glossy and uniform greenish-brown leaves and buds emitting a subtle sweet fragrance of ripe fruits.

Darjeeling 1st Flush RingTong Estate has notes of grassy, fresh sweetness in the first steep that resemble White Peony King's Grade. Subsequent steeps offer a deeper, more oxidized tea with similarities to an oolong. Dotted with creaminess and notes of citrus, this tea can be enjoyed throughout multiple steeps. 

Steeping Guidelines:

• 5g or 1.25Tbsp | 6oz. @195˚F | 45 seconds
• May be re-steeped multiple times.
• Use a glass or porcelain teapot.
• Drain completely and serve.
