Also known as a Cha He 茶海 in Mandarin, this little tool is part of the traditional ceremonial equipage. We think it can also find a rightful place in more practical and daily habits like having to scoop-up leaves from your favourite caddies or urns. The narrower end can then be used to funnel your leaves into teapots with more narrow openings. And, if you want to be more ceremonial, you can use this plate to show around the tea to your guests before steeping it, thus avoiding to directly manipulate the tea with hands and avoid passing around a tea pouch or precious urn. It is one of those little items that when you start using it, you wonder how you ever did without it beforehand. This particular model with its fluid and curvaceous lines is also very pleasant to handle and look at. It is garanteed to make any of our great teas look even better! Handcrafted in Taiwan
