Barely contained inside its pristine wrapper is a riotous tangle of twisted leaves in an array of subtle silvers and greens. Indigenous tribal peoples of Yunnan forage these leaves from 300 year-old trees in the unadulterated forests of Zhang Lang in the Bada Mountains. We have specially commissioned this extraordinary tea, and a portion of the Spring 2016 harvest remains in China to continue aging. While wonderful to appreciate now, we encourage you to allow this tea to age even further, and enjoy its transformation. A rare collector's item, this will age and ferment naturally into a deeply sweet and viscous brew.
