Hailing from the little hidden village of Tong Mu, where the very first Hongcha (later called Black tea by the British) were made, the villagers are at it again, pushing the level of what makes perfect Hongcha a claim that others envy. Using some enviable resources, such as their wild foraged tea leaves in their mountains, roasting with local pristinely grown firewood, in ovens that are hundreds of years old, the new Small Red Mandarin boasts of a slight citrus character, a roundness and balance that defies any category of tea-  most aficionados have been known to sigh after a few sips.
