Cold brewing Golden Robe Oolong punches up the bold flavors of cooked butterscotch and tropical fruit flavors present in this complex tea. Partial oxidation and dark roasting in the style of Wuyi Dahongpao coax out its rich body and intensity. Large, wiry leaves from the new Golden Guanyin varietal (a Yellow Gold and Tieguanyin hybrid) are meticulously rolled to prevent breaking, and are prepared especially for cold brewing.
Take this chilled oolong to the beach to welcome the summer, or wherever else you’d like to shed your robe.
Cold Brew tea preparation: Place one or two sachets in a half-gallon container of cool filtered water. Chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4-5 hours. Steep longer for a stronger tea.
