The Katakuchi Tea Bowl is a handcrafted ceramic vessel with a beautifully curved shape and inner depth perfect for whisking matcha or Hojicha Powder with ease.

In addition to preparing Japanese tea powder/matcha, the Katakuchi Tea Bowl can be used for cooling water before steeping Japanese tea leaves in a kyusu, or for pouring other liquids such as sake, sauces, and dressings.

****It is an unexpected shape after firing. There is a special beauty about this kind of imperfect roundness & variation in height. It has two finger indent marks.
