The most globally prized green tea harvest of each year, Dragonwells are so coveted they’ve sparked heated competition over the very best batches and spawned an entire market of forged teas. This batch from pristine Westlake Da Qing Gu was made by a renowned tea master charged with producing the highest-grade Pre-Ming and Pre-Rain Dragonwell teas. Its sweet, warming liquor brims with fragrant chestnut notes and a full, vegetal finish without even a whisper of astringency.
Tasting Notes (6/18/2020):
Intensely nutty. Reminiscent of raw, unsalted sunflower seeds. Super clean front, followed by a vegetal flavor not unlike steamed asparagus or lightly roasted zucchini. Along with the Pre-Ming Dragonwell, these two Dragonwells may be the best we have ever tasted.
