Kabusecha (covered tea) is a shade grown green tea for over 14 days; whereas Gyokuro is shade grown for over 20 days. In a shaded environment, the tea bushes are encouraged to produce more chlorophyl, yielding a greener color and flavor. Kabusecha infuses a rich, viscous brew. These premium tea leaves are harvested from the tea farms surrounding the city of Uji, and processed by a 6th rank tea master.

We find the effects of this tea to be especially focusing without becoming too stimulated - a wonderful balance of ease and clarity. A pot of Kabusecha is the perfect companion with which to begin the morning and a steady encouragement throughout the day.

Steeping Guidelines:

4g or 1t | 8oz. @ 170˚F | 45 seconds
Use a glass or porcelain teapot. Drain completely and serve. 
Please re-infuse 5 or more times.
