Description   Hand Painted Peony Gaiwan Each piece was special ordered and painted by hand by a porcelain and painting master from Taiwan.  The peony flower is a symbol of prosperity, luxury, and beauty. Using an appliqué method, the peony flowers painted appear to be in slight relief and textured. The porcelain quality of the gaiwan is very fine and though translucent, also retains heat well. Curved and balanced for handling any tea.
