SHIPPING & RETURNS
HOLIDAYS
We are gearing up for the holidays and wanted to
let you know our seasonal shipping schedule.
It is our busiest time
of year, and we want to ensure that everyone gets their tea as quickly as
possible.
Beginning Nov. 1, 2011:
* Orders placed before 10:00 AM PST - shipped same
day
* After 10:00 AM PST - shipped the following
business day
Note : Gift wrapping may take an extra day.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
Orders placed before 10am (PST) ship within 1-2 business days. If you
place an order over the phone before 1pm (PST), we will try to ship out
the same day. Otherwise, orders usually ship out the next business day
after it is placed. All orders ship from our California location.
Business days DO NOT
include: Saturday, Sunday, New Years Day , Memorial Day , Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Nov 28th, and Christmas Day. We are
CLOSED during these days; however, you may place orders on our web site.
Orders received Saturday or Sunday will not process until Monday.
SHIPPING METHODS
When you
check out, you will be prompted to choose a shipping method. (Some
destinations may offer only one shipping method.) Your shipping charges
will be automatically calculated during checkout prior to the completion
of your order. The following are Shipping Methods for shipments within
the contiguous 48 States:
- USPS
- Orders shipped via USPS take 2-3 business
days via Priority Mail, and 5-7 business days via 1st class mail. Only
orders under 13 oz. ship USPS 1st class mail. Example: an order with (1)
package of tea. We recommend that you ship via USPS for smaller
orders that are 1 to 2 lbs for the most economical shipping rates.
However, we do recommend any orders over $100 please ship via UPS for
more secure delivery. We can not be responsible for orders shipped via
USPS if lost during transit, we can only provide proof of shipping.

UPS Standard Ground - Weekend and holiday delivery with UPS is
not available. In other words, a Next Day Air package that is shipped on
Friday will be delivered on Monday. A 2nd Day Air package that is
shipped on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday. Most items can be
shipped to addresses in the 48 contiguous United States via Standard
Ground service. Our default shipping method is UPS 7-DAY Ground for
delivery within the continental US. Read below for details on Expedited
service and shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands,
PO Boxes, APO and FPO addresses.
- Expedited 3-Day
- Expedited 3-Day shipments will ship the same day if the order is
received prior to 10:00 AM EST. You can expect to receive your 3-Day
shipment within 3 to 5 business days of placing your order. We cannot
ship Expedited 3-Day to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Shipping rates
are calculated at during checkout and are based on weight and
destination.
- 2nd Day Air -
2nd Day Air shipments will ship the same day if the order is received
prior to 10:00 AM EST. You can expect to receive your 2nd Day Air
shipment within 2 to 3 business days of placing your order. We cannot
ship 2nd Day Air to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Shipping rates are
calculated at during checkout and are based on weight and destination.
- Next Day Air
- Next Day Air is generally delivered the following business day,
usually in the afternoon, if we receive your order by 10:00 AM EST. Next
Day Air is not available for Saturday delivery. Overnight delivery to
PO boxes is via USPS Express Mail. We cannot ship Next Day Air to
APO/FPO addresses. Also, Next Day Air delivery may not be available to
certain remote locations.
- P.O. Box/APO/FPO Addresses
- We ship to P.O. Boxes/APO/FPOs only by USPS Priority or 1st Class
Mail. Standard shipping is the only available service at this time.
- Alaska and Hawaii
- Expedited shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is via USPS Priority Mail
only. We do not offer Expedited 3 Day, 2nd Day or Next Day Air to Alaska
or Hawaii.
- Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands - We can ship to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands via USPS Priority Mail.
UPGRADE FOR FASTER DELIVERY
Generally,
you may upgrade your shipping method during your order, for faster
delivery (such as 3-Day, 2nd Day, or Overnight service). If you upgrade
your shipping method, your order must be received and your credit card
authorized by 10:00 am PST
or your order may not be processed until the following business day.
The shipping rates for expedited service will be calculated during
check-out.
NEXT DAY AIR, SECOND DAY AIR, and 3 DAY SELECT shipments will ship the same BUSINESS day if they are received before 10am PST.*

Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada (subject to duties and
taxes. See details below.*), England, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico,
Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Phillipines, Puerto Rico, Saudi
Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, and the United
Kingdom..and more!
Please
create an account by clicking the "My Account / Order Status" link at
the top right hand side of our site. During sign up we'll ask for your
shipping address details including country. If your country is not in
the drop down menu of available countries, unfortunately we cannot ship
to your country at this time.

* Shipping to Canada?
Here's What You Need to Know. Canadian customers are subject to a
variety of Duties and Taxes and these vary from province to province:
1. A Federal "Goods and Services Tax" of 7% is due on all international shipments. 2. A Federal "Duty Tax", from 1% to 3%, can be applied to products whose country of origin is from Asia. 3.
A "Provincial Sales Tax" varies from province to province. Typically it
is 8% to 10% (0% for Alberta) but, depending on the province, it may
not be applied to an imported shipment. 4. Certain shippers, notably
UPS, apply a "Brokerage fee" to Canadian shipments and this can be 10%
or more depending on the value of the item(s) being shipped.
Many
Canadian customers say a general rule of thumb is to convert a US price
(in US dollars) to a final landed Canadian price (in Canadian dollars)
is approximately 1.5 to 1.6 times the US price. To determine exactly
what taxes or additional fees may apply to your order specifically, we
recommend that you call Revenue Canada Customs Border Services at
1-800-461-9999.
Due to the
high cost of brokerage fees with UPS, we have chosen to limit the
shipping option to USPS only. For small packages under $100, the duties
should not present a problem. For orders over $100, please call our
office at 860-672-4768 to place your order.
Q. If I do buy one of your products for shipment to Canada, when do I pay the fees and taxes mentioned above? A.
Duties, taxes and brokerage fees are not included in your order. You
will pay these fees when the package has been delivered to you. We
cannot accept responsibility for these fees once the package has left
the U.S. WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY?
We take
great care in the sourcing of our products and have very few complaints
about quality or packaging. If you feel that you have not received what
you wanted we offer the following return policies:
- Accessories and any unopened tea can be exchanged or returned within 30 days of purchase.
- Accessories must be
unused and in new condition upon receipt. If item is found damaged or
used, Teance Fine Teas will not be able to issue a refund.
- All shipping charges must be paid for by the customer, unless items are damaged upon arrival.
- We will only accept
returns or exchanges with receipt. Payments made via credit card can be
credited back to the original card used, or a store credit can be
issued. Paypal payments can be credited back to the Paypal account.
- For returns on any items
from an order that received FREE Shipping, the original shipping savings
associated with the returned item(s) will be deducted from the refund
amount unless the return was due to our error.
