The first flush boasts of more green fresher leaves.  Grown on the well known Goomtee estate in West Bengal, India. Darjeeling is a region in India about six thousand feet above sea level in the Himalayan foothills. Darjeelings are often referred to as the Champagne of teas and are known especially for their muscatel aroma. Because of the high altitude and cool climate, Darjeeling tea bushes produce in flushes. The first flush of leaves is picked in March and early April. The second is picked in May and June. The monsoons come in the summertime, and an autumnal flush is produced in September.
