Grown near the famous bamboo forests of Anji, outside of Shanghai region. Full of fresh, bright, fruity and sweet flavors. Small bud and leaf sets are hand harvested and pan-fired. An excellent example of great taste of distinctive terroir. Our top pick this year for green tea lovers! Perfect for cold brewed chilled teas as well as hot tea.

Production: Machine fired and rolled into pine needle shape.
Vessel: porcelain or glass teapot, or porcelain or glass gaiwan
Temperature: 170 F filtered hot water
Proportion: 3 gm leaves to 8 oz. water
Number of infusions: 3-4
Standard instructions: Steep for 1 minute in a standard porcelain teapot.
Specific instructions: Rinse and warm up vessel. No rinsing of leaves for green tea required. Steep for 1 minute by pouring hotwater onto leaves. If using a gaiwan, stir briefly with lid at the 30 second interval. If using a teapot, swivel teapot gently to help the leaves absorb the hot water. Decant into a server or teacup and enjoy.
